Has anyone gotten Relata to work on SME 5.1.2? Looks like an interesting package with Palm synch support.

Hi Jeff,

I took a look at Relata, and it looks nice. I did not yet take a shot at the installation though. Looking at the functionality it is geared towards sales people, with some specific fields. I must say that using the Infolog module of phpGroupWare together with it's other features will give you the same functionality and a lot more.

Ever played with the Infolog ?

Howdy HF,

I haven't looked at Infolog, but I certainly will. Relata is interesting to me precisely because of its sales orientation.

I have some need for a CRM (customer Relation Mgmt) package that will do contact management and campaign planning (email and snail mail blasts plus scheduled contacts.

Hi Jeff,

I successfully installed relata 0.2.4 on sme 5.1.2 beta. It was a while back when I did the install but I do remember the one problem I encountered was that some of the sql scripts didn't work. I was able to cut and paste the sql into phpmyadmin and get it to work. As for the product, it has its ups and downs. It has a very slick GUI, you can easily forget your in a browser based app. Its also pretty fast. The big downside that isn't really advertised is information is not shared between users. Your contacts are yours only, no one else can see them. This may no longer be the case but I haven't checked. Good luck with it!
