Topic: slow netatalk - kupdate

HI,

I am running SME server 5.1.2. I have 5 apple mac clients running os 9.22. When clients connect to the sme server via appletalk the response is very slow. If I run top with -P while clients are connecting to the the appletalk share the kupdate process runs at 70% to 90% of the CPU for as long as the clients are connected. When clients disconnect the process drops right down to less than 1%.

I have upgraded the netatalk rpm to version 1.5.3-4, however, I still have the problem. Has anyone experienced this before or know of any work arounds/solutions to this problem?
