SquidGuard Problem
« on: September 23, 2002, 05:37:43 PM »
I have installed SquidGuard on SME 5.5 using the howto from
"http://www.tech-geeks.org/servers/sme/v5.1.x/squidguard/install/squidguard3.1-README.txt"
Everything seems to go fine but when I click on "Content Filtering" in the server-manager I get this.
"The requested URL /squidguard was not found on this server."
I can't work out where it is trying to point to.
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance.

try typing in your ipaddress then squidguard for example

https://192.0.0.0/squidguard

then just type normal password and username you would use to access server manager

not sure why it does not allow you to access this though the server-manager

hope this helps

I figured it out.
I was using 192.0.0.0:980 to access my server-manager I changed it to 192.0.0.0/server-manager and it works perfectly.

Well, then I might even be worse off, 'cause I don't even get back to the main page. It never leaves the 'Adding..' page and nothing is written to the files. I've checked the permissions and they seem to be okay.

Any ideas? Can't seem to get it to work this way - that is, it works alright but I can't change it.

Joel,

Use http://192.168.0.1/server-manager  instead of http://192.168.0.1:980 that will get you into the server manager screen, then click on squidguard that should work.
Don't worry it took me a week to figure that one out.
