Put "PPTP Port" into Google.

Haven't tried it that way, but I HAVE used e-smith AS a broadband router and can use PPTP VPN easily. But it shouldn't be too hard, assuming your router supports port forwarding, to get the correct ports redirected to your SME server.

I am using an Ipcop firewall, on my ADSL line, and have forwarded port 1743 to the SMEServer, and pptp VPN from Windows clients works fine.
cheers
