There are some EPoX mobos that have 4 IDE ports.

I dare say there are other manu's who do them too.

Has anyone had any experience using these and what where the results ?

I've used MSI K7T Turbo-RAID boards in the past but not with SME though. I've set them up as Win2000 Servers as well as Video editing systems.

Some board manufacturers use "Lite" versions of the chips for integrated RAID solutions, though.
