Topic: Old ground but need some php maxfilesize help !

Gidday folks,
  I've rsearched the forum, tried everything everyone else has suggested, searched the faq, tried the trick in there .... I still cant upload anything greater than 2mb to my 5.5 box ... I can get just up to 2mb, but no more .. I've set the MaxFileSize in /sbin/e-smith/config yadahyadahyadh, ive manually set Max File Size in php.ini I've done service httpd stops and then starts .. I've used swear words, words of encouragement, and ended up with nothing !

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The more basic the better ! Has anyone using e-smith actually uploaded via a website or imp webmail or any other .php script a file of greater than 2mb ever ?

Well, I did see this in an earlier post and was affraid to include to install the rpm.  But since Ive had it up to here with the whole thing I tried it... turns out the 5.5 has a more recent version so I did not have to install rpm.

I followed the remaining instructions and just sent my first 9mb attachment with no problem whatsoever.

Seems to have worked..

I wondered why the webshare util didnt allow some of the files I tested it with to be uploaded - guess its the 2Mb limit with php . Have adjusted the settings as per the instructions above and hey presto webshares now accept large files
