Printer jammed: Cancel job?
« on: April 10, 2001, 02:47:51 AM »
Hi All
How am I suposed to stop a print job already sent to a printer attached to the e-smith box?
When a printer is jammed or a document is sent in a wrong format is there any wa to stop the job ( a simple one I mean)
I have had to delete the queue from var/spool/lpd/printername
As far as I know (not really far ;) ) there is no reference on cancelling a job
Any help will be apreciated
Alejandro.

Does anyone know anything about this issue?

I'm facing this problem also.  My users find it really annoying that they can't cancel their own print jobs.

Especially when they send the wrong 100 page document to the printer... The only way to clear it is for the Admin to login and use lprm to clear it.

Is there a way my users can clear their own print jobs??

Thanks,
Matt
