Thanks Brian,

Could well be the problem. I deleted the custom template and rebooted the system and have no problems so far but the 24 hours have not yet passed. Once it doesn't reoccur I will make the custom-template again and see if it works.

Next thing I would like to look at is if it is possible to change the 24 hour scan to just scanning the user directories and maybe the ibays. That shouldn't be too difficult but if someone allready made the syntax work I'd be happy to read about it. Thanks for all the answers.

Jan

I hope you re-expanded the template before the re-boot?

Otherwise it'll not make any difference!

The command I gave you will only scan under /home (i.e. user data).

This is the part that does this:

"-r /home"

I.e. a recursive scan under /home

cheers

Hello Brian,

Hmm this is curious ... I did correct the mistake put the command lines in the custom template but still am getting the same error message:

header:
Cron (cd /;/usr/bin/clamscan -r /home --quarantine

body:
/bin/bash: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file

If the problem lies with the custom template and its not too much trouble maybe you can send me a copy of the custom template and I will expand it and see what happens.

In any case thanks for all the help so far! Its much apreciated.

regards,

Jan
