Hi All,
Has anyone tested the ntop, i have installed it but did not worked out.... any tips?

Firstly what "did not worked out" ??
Its a bit hard to help when we dont know what the problem is/version of SME/Updates/followed howto/error messages/log messages/etc/etc/etc

well, i can manually start the ntop daemon from /etc/rc.d/init.d/ntop, but a sort link isn't created or missing in /etc/rc.d/rc7.d.
After the daemon is started, i'm still unable to browse the page via
https://sme:3000
or
http://sme:3000
either, can't figure it out why....

Hi,
It just worked out fine for me, on 2 SME boxes. Did you install all of the 3 RPMs and use the install.sh ?
