Where to find 2.4.18-5 kernel source?
« on: January 16, 2003, 12:14:57 PM »
I need to compile the driver for my Highpoint Rocket 133. Does anybody know where to find to kernel source for 2.4.18-5 used by SME Server 5.6? All the Red Hat mirrors seem to have only the 2.4.8-3 kernel that shipped originally with Red Hat 7.3, and the most current ones, 2.4.18-18 and 2.4.18-19.

You're right, I can't find it online either. I guess they're not supporting it anymore so it was pulled.

Luckily we still have a copy. I've made the source rpm available in my contrib directory, which should sync in an hour or so.

Cheers,

Perhaps you don't.  See:

I have a fasttrak lite controller working fine with stock 5.6.

AFAIK, latest hpt are still not supported by stock kernel.
Mattias, drop me an email, I'll notify you when I have a driver disk ready.
BTW, Charlie will be notified too.

kernel-source-2.4.18-5.i386.rpm has been pulled, but kernel-2.4.18-5.src.rpm has not.
You have .src.rpm in your contrib, that's available at usual redhat mirrors.
