Manager Fails after adding lots of users
« on: January 28, 2003, 12:40:09 PM »
Hello!

I have an SME 5.5 server with all the updates applied, and I used Darrell May's HOW-TO on adding multiple users from a user list. http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/howto/addusers-howto.html

The system ran for several hours, as I was adding several thousand users, then stopped.

Then when trying to access the manager, Internet Explorer just tells me that the page cannot be displayed. And You can't access the server manager from the colsole on SME intself.

Tha error the manager generates when starting is;

Starting httpd-admin: Syntax error on line 780 of /etc/httpd/admin-conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'jessicascall', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration                              {FAILED}

I have uploaded a copy of the managers httpd.conf file to: http://www.northwestlinux.co.uk/httpd.conf

Please help!
Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Craig

This may be a case of too many users, never come accross it myself but try searching the forums and see what peole have said in the past.Robert Heaton wrote:

Hello!

I can't find anything about a limit on the amount of users SME can handle. I know that there is a limit on the amount of groups.

Does anyone know of a limit on the amount of users?

Kind regards,
Rob.
