Hi. I've already searched the posts on mailfilter, and I haven't solved my problem.
I have installed dungog multipop with pre filtering on my v5.5 server, however, mailfilter doesn't seem to preconnect to my external pop servers. It's configured for multidrop mail through a cable modem. I don't have any problems getting my pop mail, it just isn't getting prefiltered by mailfilter.
Looking at the maillog file, I see the following:
Feb 26 21:50:02 MontyPython fetchmail[19686]: pre-connection command failed with status 6
Feb 26 21:50:02 MontyPython fetchmail[19686]: Query status=5 (SYNTAX)
I'm sure it's something simple like a permission problem, but I haven't done anything to any of the stock configuration files, and nothing in ownership or permissions seems to jump out and indicate a problem there.
