Topic: Entries i access.log

I have been getting quite a lot of entries like this in my e-smith 5.6 webserver log:
xxx.xx.dk 200.46.116.62 - - [24/Feb/2003:01:43:41 +0100] "\x05\x01"
200 849 "-" "-"
What concerns me is the 200 response code.
I have tried telnetting \x05\x01\ to the webserver and it only seems to list the html code. When i do the same on an Apache 1.26 i get a 501 response code.
Can anybody tell me what is going on?
