e-smith-manager - access denied
« on: November 24, 1999, 08:14:09 AM »
Hi,

Yes - I searched the list and the FAQ.

It states clearly that the server thinks I am connecting from the outside.
I suppose this is true, since I got the message ONLY when I am trying to access the page through the squid proxy server.

Is there a way to give my client (netscape-still connected throught the proxy)  access to the e-smith-manager, or do I have to switch back to 'direct connection'.

Thanks,
Herman

BTW: Thumbs up for the server !!!  (I know others said this too  ;-)  )

Sorry, what "states clearly"?

I'm not really sure what your problem is, but perhaps if you
set the "No proxies for" then you won't access the server via
the proxy, and you won't have your problem.

I thought it was obvious that I ment:
The FAQ states clearly that...[..].. from outside world.

That was my question: do I have to set up my Netscape to 'direct connection' every time I want to access the manager, or is there a work around, so that I can be connected through squid ALL the time, as well when I am browsing as when I want to do some manager stuff?

Thanks,
Herman
