CBQ, How to avoid slowing down samba traffic?
« on: March 01, 2003, 12:41:41 AM »
HI all.

I'm using CBQ in my SME box without problems, but some days ago
I have the need to allow my users to access the shares from my SME
with their windows PC's so they can access public data stored on it.

the problem is that, since they have limited bandwidth, the samba is
also slowed too, is there any rule that I can apply to avoid this?.

anyone knows what ports are used to transfer this data, and how can I
create a roule that overrides the other ones only in the samba traffic?.

any ideas, or links or help, would be greatly appreciated :)

TIA

Lightman

I have a same problem. I think that CBQ must be configured for specific ports only, but how???
