three network cards
« on: March 07, 2003, 04:37:02 PM »
I have installed e-smith 5.6 with three network cards, one for DSL, one for my private network and one for my web server in a DMZ.
The problem is that the system only recognize two cards. I cannot acces eth2 (to my DMZ).
What can I do ?
(excuse my incorrect english, I'm french)
Thanks

SME doesn't include support for a DMZ. There are some old posts about adding another NIC, but I'm not sure it'll do what you want without a lot of extra work. Also, the old instructions will be for the ipchains versions, while 5.6 now uses iptables.

I suggest you use something like IPCop ( http://www.ipcop.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/IPCop/WebHome ) for your firewall / DMZ setup and use SME as a web server.
