Hi,

I have upgraded to sbe 5.6 and sence then I can not vpn into my network. I have tried the bug fix for pptp but this did not fix the problem. I have posted in other vpn posts about this but with out any luck on fixing this problem.

I would be very greatfull if some could help me resolve this vpn problem I am having with 5.6 version.

You and everyone else (including me !).

It's still an ongoing issue and I'm considering going back to 5.1.2 until the problem gets fixed as I no longer have a workable PPTP connection.

Results of putting in the workaround from the bugs page is mixed. Some users have reported workable connections. I have tried on two installs and both have strange results. I am more concerned with outgoing connections at my end while at the clients' end, incoming connections. With the workaround in place, I can connect to some 5.1.2 servers but not others. If I remove the workaround, I can connect to the others now but not the ones I could with the workaround in place before ! Bottom line - it's still broken.

Thanks for letting me know that the vpn is still broken.

I thought that I was doing something wrong.
I tried some of the post that had some suggestion but they didn't work.

If any one has any updates about how to fix this problem,

I've mainly had problems connecting. Its Odd, The office in another state can't connect in and yet my PC and 2 other ppls PC's can both connect Fine. I am assuming that is most likely a client problem though. From what I have been reading it doesn't seem like that is part of the suite of problems people have been having. But then again I never had any problems with the older version of SME server :/
