Several users are getting dramatic improvements on Comcast Cable Internet connection by enabling "Traffic Shaping - Token Buckets" on Cisco routers.
Comcast modems use Docsis standards to control individual users bandwidth to 1500/256 kbps. Fast downloads burst past the 1.5 connection and are then stopped dead. This is repeated throughout the download yielding speeds much lower than the rated speed. Downloads that don’t burst over 1.5k yield smooth, faster downloads.
How can I configure this on a 5.6 gateway?
Thanks,
Cliff
