I am trying to get sftp for all users to work. sftp works fine for root but connections get's closed for all other users after their password is sent.
I am almost sure that this has to do with the standard ssh configuration, which denies shell-login for users. I installed rssh but I am not sure if my config is right. I edited /etc/passwd like this:
user:x:666:666::/home/e-smith/files/users/user:/usr/sbin/sftp
any ideas?
