If no identD is in e-smith, how and where I can get one ?  ... Please, a RPM cause i dont know anything in Linux !! :| ...

Thank you all.

I want detailed installation information...

Ident is enabled by default. If you use mirc it uses user+the last number of your internal ip number ie: user33 if for example your internal ip number is 192.168.1.33

Mmmm... my e-smith is not configured as a Internet Gateway.  It's a Server Only because i got a Linksys Cable/DSL Router for my internet sharing.  Maybe when i choose Server Only Mode, the IdentD is not started because e-smith not answer identD request.

How can i enable it in the config... (please, be specific, i'm newbie user in Linux, i don't know anything !!)

Thank you in advance !

hmmm.....it seems you don't need to change anything on your e-smith server. If you use it as a server only it doesn't do any routing for you. The routing is done by the Linksys DSL router. Think you need to check the settings of the router.

Or remove it from the network. I don't know any advantages of using the LinkSys DSL router over using an e-smith server in server-gateway mode, and a DSL modem.
Please be sure to let us know if there's something useful that the LinkSys router does that e-smith doesn't.
