Hi,

I've installed Fetchmail Users Accounts (V0.3-4) which I found on contrib.org.

I'm running e-smith V5.6 behind a router in server only mode. From a console in e-smith, I can ping and do 'dig' lookups of hostnames etc, so e-smith has connectivity.

First a bug, under individual mailboxs it has the choice for 'ghost', 'debug' and 'spy'

When I select 'debug' under the settings screen it shows up as 'ghost'  and vice versa on the summary screen. I'm not actually sure what 'ghost' means.

Anyway, once I've gone through and set up individual accounts, nothing happens. There is no download of email etc. Additionally there are no error messages.

I tinkered with using multi-drop, and also set it to debug. Not only did it not download any email, but there was no debug errors either.

I know thats a bit scant, but thats all I've got, unless anyone can give me a hint as to which log files to check etc.

You need the new version for SME 5.6.

Thanks for the response. When I d/l the fetchmail rpm from contrib.org it stated that it was for v5.6, but I tried the packages from the link you gave. I assume that both had to be installed.

I uploaded and installed it using the server-manager, and got an error that the package conflicted as below

Try uninstalling the old one first.

Thanks Kelvin,

Uninstalled the previous e-smith fetchmail package, and then installed

sme-fetchmail-1.0-2.noarch.rpm

When I then go to the 'mails user'  page in server manager, then under individual mail settings, the heading shows

"Create, remove, or change user fetchmail accounts (V1.0-1)"

Changing a user to 'debug' then returning to the summary page, the summary shows the account as ghost yes, debug no.
