Topic: ide hardware raid array

I am interested in installing 5.6 on a system with a promise fasttrack sx4000 ide raid card. Unfortunately Promise does not give out source for their drivers, but they do have drivers for 2.4.18-3

I installed 5.6 to a normal drive and then "insmod -f FastTrack.o" and it gives 2 warnings but appears to work. I can fdisk the array (/dev/sda) and format, etc. Now I would like to actually just install directly to the array. However the e-smith boot image includes a version of insmod that does not have the "-f" switch.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

SME 5.6 uses 2.4.18-5 not -3.
