Apple's mail.app client

Apple's mail.app client

I have a user who says that the first time the mail client is opened, an error is raised saying the mail account name and password were not found. Any subsequent attempt to get the mail is successful.

Can anyone comment on this?

P. S. I am going to post this question on an Apple list as well, just in case there is something I might tweak on the client machine.

I assume you are referring to the latest version of Mail.app on OS-X?

I have four folks using it without seeing this issue.

It is possible, always, for the Keychain in the user prefs (on OS-X) to be corrupted for the UID/PW in question. I would try another UID/PW combination and see if the issue persists. The e-smith server hasn't given my OS-X users any grief.

Thanks for the comments, Patrick. Yes, it is the most current version of the mail.app and MacOS X. I have them on the Software Update service. I am a gluten for punishment, you might say.

I had not thought about the Keychain. I will look into that.
