Never heard of dial-in for SME, but you can set a continous dialup connection and use Dynamic DNS and PPTP to remotely access the server...

got it working

i have installed:

e-smith-dialin-0.4-4.noarch.rpm
mgetty-1.1.30-0.7.i386.rpm

its working on sme 6.0.1-1 i have a 3com landmodem dialing to it.
