Hi all,

We have just released the last beta version of eneo-qos. This time its in english and french too besides spanish. Yes I know, the language is hardcoded but we have no time to catch up with SME releases. Now that official SME is in spanish ... :)

I would like to give thanks to Timothee Bastin for the english translation, and to Julien Sachy for the french one. They should get all the credit (and claps) of them.

As allways, you can find them in eneo contrib directory in Mitel mirrors. We are in the process ofgetting a contribs.org account but not there yet (it will be there too).

  The files are:

eneo-qos_cbq-0.1-05.noarch.rpm
eneo-qos_cbq-0.1-05en.noarch.rpm
eneo-qos_cbq-0.1-05fr.noarch.rpm

This is considered a beta release even when we are using it in production. In srpms directory you can find the src files.

  Enjoy.

Hi Jaime,

I am getting a little of confused by the control types of equipment and service, does it mean that we can specify the bandwidth for the each different protocol such as like http, ftp, etc

is it any log file to monitor the usage?

Thank you.

Hi Daley,

I dont recall it exactly how was done and dont have a box around. Please, consider it a very simple QoS system, something to get you a fast start.

There were two options: service and computer. In service, a set of global rules is defined for tipicall services. I cant remember if the pannel allowed you to configure specific "service-traffic" pairs, I think it was just a typical scenario. In the second one (by computer) you break the bandwidth in N "channels" so they dont conflict with each other.

As I said, very simple. You could dig inside the code and modify the scrpits that build the QoS rules (cbq.init). We considered improving it , but currently have no time to do so, and the client didnt want any more :(

  Regards.
