SSH session with Putty
« on: July 12, 2003, 02:00:19 PM »
Last week I re-installed my SME 5.6 server, normally I see the IP adress of the last login when I start a SSH session, but since the re-install I see this message when I log in with ssh:

Last login: Sat Jul 12 12:57:28 2003 from pc-00002
Welcome to the Mitel Networks SME Server.

So the ip adress is replaced by pc-00002 (or pc-00003 etc. )  how can I change this back into the IP adresses ?

My regards,

Molski

pc-00002 means, first if you are using 192.168.0.0 ip class it is 192.168.0.2 second if you are using 172.16.0.0 ip class it is 172.16.0.2. As far as my observations.

Yes indeed, I use the 192.168.0.0 range and yes, it is pc-0002 and it has the .0.2 IP adress, but how can I change the pc-0002 stuff back into the IP adresses, that I normally should see ?

My regards,
