Maximum File Size above 2 GB.

We extract data from files and put them in a file that suppose to grow larger than 2Gigabyte. Data then is inserted in mysql tables. Files stop at 2 GB mark and the process hangs. This problem doesn't exist when we use any other linux based server. Is there any limit to the file size in the SME 5.5? If it is then what should we do to get around it? Our application is useless with 2GB restriction
. Please help....!
.... Thank you for your consideration.....

Upgrade to 5.6. The 2.2 kernel has the limitation, the 2.4 kernel doesnt.
