Hello folks,

Since a week I have a hard time with our mail server running SME 5.6U4
Our mail server is running Spamassassin and CLam antivirus + svcan + twiggi from known contribs
It's been find for almost 3 months

Since a week our mail server is running at 100% even though there is no much traffic.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me troubleshoot this Dell PIV 2.4 Ghz. It's killing me. I did restore the backup on a new blade, but I have come to worse issu like from the restore blade we cannot send mail out, it llok like the mail does not accept mail, mail client time out. So I always come back to this mail server cause at least it work ...slowly.

Thank you for your time, I feel like writing this mail do release some tension and will help me understand the problem I have to come through.

I do notice every process use more cpu than usual, even 'top' is sometime using 19.6 % of CPU and a script like awstat.pl sometime use 40.7 %CPU
all in all it's always close to 100% total and slow me down at the command prompt

I wonder, if there is a better way to find out what is wrong with this server?
It does not drop mail thanks god

After I restore my backup on a freshly installed SME 5.6 without patch, I cannot send mail to the sme server?

I get
