Topic: Customise Server Console

Does anyone know what files to edit to customise the server console (not server manager)?

1. You have to know perl

2. You need to understand SME events, actions, tempates, and db files

3. If so, edit /sbin/e-smith/console to do your bidding.

The v6 console is a bit different than its predecessors in how it works, but the above still applies.

Thanks for the speedy reply.  I know a little perl but am not overly familiar with SME events, actions, tempates, and db files.  None the less i have successfully edited the part inside the grey box!  I cannot find any where in the file you mentioned that holds the data for the background colour (blue).  Do you know if this is part of /sbin/e-smith/console or is it in a different file.

You can't change colors.  I think it uses ncurses or something....
