Topic: Spamassasin dependencies failing

I have just tried to install Spamassasin, but i get this:

error: failed dependencies:
        libdb-3.2.so   is needed by python2-2.2.2-1
error: failed dependencies:
        python2 >= 2.2.1 is needed by pyzor-0.4.0-1

Which packache is missing to give me libdb-3.2.so, tried RPMFind but just got confused.

Searched the forum with more frases and found that db3x-3.2.9-4.i386.rpm needs to be installed

Abe that is a great howto document you've made there, now I just want it converted for sme 6b3 .

I have been trying to create the same setup on sme 6b3 (without the list server) and have so far got clamAV running, having problems getting spamassassin working but not sure why yet.

Seems to me like I remember something being changed in 6.0 relating to the handling of mail, that would affect spamassassin.  But, I can't really recall what that might have been.

You might try a couple searches through the devinfo archive.
