Hi,
I'm using SME 6. one of the people that is working with me on setting it up tried to setup a php script to run on the Primary website. From what they told me, they changed the permissions of the script's folder using:
chmod 777 *
chown www:www *
The problem is that it seems like he installed the script folder in the wrong place and ran the commands in /home/e-smith/files/ibays
Now, I resolved this by deleting and recreating the 4 ibays I had set up. Here is where I have the problem....
Two of these shares are set up for our techs to use when supporting Mac OS X systems.
The permissions are set up as follows:
Share Permission
----------------------------------------------
software group= techs, read=group write=group
backup group= techs, read=group write=group
I have 3 accounts that are part members of the "techs" group, when I connect to the server from a Mac and login using a tech account I can see both shares and a Home directory, which is OK. My problem is that I can also see the Primary share and I can go into it and delete files from the HTML and FILES directory.
I created another account and made sure that it was not a member of ANY groups, when I logged in I could see the user's home dir and the Primary.
I have a feeling that my coworker ran those commands on more folders than he's admitting to.
Basically I want to know what the Default permissions should be for the Primary ibay and whether or not a user should have access to the Primary ibay by default.
I apologize for the length of this post, but i just want to make sure that whoever reads this has a good idea of what I need

Thank you,
Jon
