Internet sharing

Hi

I would like to share my DSL connection with my friends.  I set up a server/gateway SME and a server only SME behind the server/gateway. The server only is getting Internet from the gw.

I want my friends to by able to connect to my sever only by modem access and be able to browse the Internet. They must dial in to my server only SME and get the Internet from the gateway

Most of my friends come to town for only a few days and I think that there is a way to provide them Internet access via modem to my personnel server.

Thank's to all geek's who help me

Already did this and this does not tell you how to provide the Internet to people who are connecting to my linux Box.  I want them to be able to dial in my server with a modem connection and then be able to browse the Internet with the explorer browser or mozilla or netscape.

I have already set up a server behind the server firewall.  I want my friends to connect to this one and then get the browsing service for Internetr connection.

Thanks

Peter,

I'd like to be able to do the same thing.  I haven't set anything up yet but will be going that way soon.  Did you get it all figured out yet?

Dave,

The dial in part is pretty easy to setup.  The part that most poeple are not able to do is giving access to whoever dialin the server the Internet browsing service.

Very usefull if your behind a corporate LAN and you do not want everybody knowing where you surf the net.  You just have to dialin to your own server at home with a mode and browse the Internet from there.

If anyone as done it we should be able to get an answer from this board.

This is also helpfull if you want to supply Internet to friends because with your server/firewall already set to masquarade you are using the other server behind this firewall wich is already getting service on port 80 in dhcp.
