Topic: Qmail Problem

Qmail gives an error sending mail to queue. Responds with error 451 message refused by mail server on the client PC.
Running E-smith distribution 5.6. We have disabled all filtering but still mail is being refused by the queue.

Sending mail from command line also fails

We are able to telnet into the smtp port but the final send is also rejected.

All that has changed recently on the server is an SSh update carried out yesterday as per instructions on http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=18521.msg72732#msg72732.

Is qmail still running?
If you manually stopped or started any services, maybe you should just
reboot and see.
