Problem with DNS
« on: September 27, 2003, 04:02:45 PM »
I have two machines with E-Smith 5.6 v.5, One is intended to be my DNS server and Web server, and the other just mail server.
Problem is my first machine lotos.ffh.bg.ac.yu 147.91.71.1  and the other is mail.ffh.bg.ac.yu 147.91.71.3 when i try to send mail to my mail.ffh.bg.ac.yu to adress nemanja@ffh.bg.ac.yu it is not going on mail.ffh.bg.ac.yu but is going to lotos.ffh.bg.ac.yu and there is no user by that name.
I have tried to put IP of mail.ffh.bg.ac.yu in hostsnames on my DNS but it is not working.

Please tell me what to do?

Don;t forget that the lotos system will have a pseudonym for mail in its hostnames already so it will need to be deleted if you have added another; you should port forward ports 25 and 110 to the mail system assuming that the lotos system has the internet connection public IP.
