Hi!

Well, I have a domain mydomain.com on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
I want to set up virtual domain virtualdomain.mydomain.com on the same xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - external address.
I need it, because users need to have e-mail addresses like user@virtualdomain.mydomain.com

How can I set up my virtual domain?

I personally host multiple domains on my SME installation and all domains have functional email by default.  There is one issue, all email for a given SME user is accepted regardless of what hosted domain is used in the email, example:

SME user ID = userID
primary domain = shipmanhome.net
virtual domain = lso.org
email address userID@shipmanhome.net = userID@lso.org = userID@

In other words, the SME user ID is the common factor; as long as a valid ID is used on the left (of the @), and any valid local domain (whether primary or virtual) is used on the right, email will be delivered.  There are ways around this but I've yet to be able to successfully implement it.

in the server-manager there is a option to add/modify/delete virtual domains.

I know it, but the problem is that I have set up my DNS. When I add virtual domain through "Virtual domains", it does not work. I would like to know, how can I make it working...

Take a look at registerfly.com.  You can move/register your virtual domains their or add sub domains (host A records) to any domain you move to registerfly.  

Registerfly has a very nice web based DNS control system.  When registerfly name servers are your domains name servers, you have complete control over your domains.

I don't work for registerfly, I just love this service.  The DNS is free with registration and they have some of the lowest registration fees available.  I was with mydomain.com, but moved to registerfly when mydomain was attacked and all domains listed on their name servers went off line as well...for over 24 hours...really bad for my agency.  Registerfly has more DNS redunancy and they servers are on different subnets in different regions of the country.  I also like that Registerfly's DNS servers (5 of them) always have the same zone version.

The web hosting is also very affordable with registerfly.
