Lan Problems with sis630e and Linksys LNE

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me out there.  I have built a box and I want to run E-Smith but I'm having a lot of problems.  I have an ASUS CUSI-FX montherboard with integrated LAN (SIS630e chipset).  I also purchased a Linksys LNE100TX NIC as my second network card.  The SIS card gets detected but doesn't work.  The linksys card is not even detected and I tried using the Tulip driver and it still doesn't work.  Unfortuantely, I can't get either of them to work.  I tried the linux rpm mentioned on some of the linux boards but it didn't take.  I also tried moving the kernel up to 2.2.19, but this also didn't take.  I have no idea waht to do with the SIS630e problem right now unless I go start installing dvelopment libraries and compiling.  Does anyone know if there are rpms that might be able to solve my problem.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John Goodwin

I don't know about the integrated NIC, but I had absolutely no luck with the latest revision of the LNE100TX card.  Have a look at the hardware section of Red Hat, and you'll see that the latest revision of the card is not supported in 7.0, and thus not in e-smith.  There may be a way to update the drivers, as the card is supported in 7.1 , but I found it easier to swap the LNE100TX with another older card.
