Messages log missing from Admin Panel

Messages log missing from Admin Panel

I did a little log clearing/deleting in /var/log the other day an now the messages log in the Admin Panel has vanished. The !messages file is still in /var/log though. Apache has been restarted with no luck picking up the log.

Any ideas?
