Backup2ws config problems
« on: October 28, 2003, 02:50:51 AM »
Hello,

I have used Darrell May's Backup2ws rpm before on 5.5, and I have it installed on my 5.6 box and cannt for the life of me figure out why it wont work, I have created a share on a windows 2000 Server wih permissions set to everyone and security set to everyone and I can access the sahre fine from several windows machines on the network, but when I run the backup job I get this in my messages log:

Oct 28 09:38:50 Tyr e-smith-bg: sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ''
Oct 28 09:38:50 Tyr e-smith-bg: sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file
Oct 28 09:38:50 Tyr e-smith-bg: Error occured mounting //server/sharename at /sbin/e-smith/backup2ws-backup line 76.

I have tried to enter in the unc path into the setup as the following all get the same error:

\server\sharename
//server/sharename
\server/sharename
//server\sharename

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Cyrus Bharda

Just ignore little ol ignorant me, figured it out, need to put a valid username and password in the configuration, even though the permissions are set to everyone, oh well, knew it had to be something simple :-)
