My uptime on E-Smith 5.1.2 is currently 372 Days. Latest updates (well all that are available) are installed, just restarted the individual services. I felt no need to restart the whold system as no kernel updates were made.
As for the uptime details being published, i use
http://counter.li.org/. They give you a little script file that i put in cron.daily to upload my stats to their servers.
They keep stats on every distro, every pc running linux (if you help by joining, it's free)
