I run three, ClamAV, F-Prot and H+BEDV, all of which are free for personal use. After a virus/worm has been out for awhile, all three scanners seem to catch them. The difference is with a new virus/worm. It takes time for the updates to be done, and some are done sooner than others. All three of my scanners have caught new bugs that the others have missed.
I do some webpage updates that require me to get mail forwarded from publicly posted email accounts that have been posted for years, and also are in hundreds of Outlook Express address books. These accounts get hammered. Previously, relying on one scanner I had problems, but since I went to the three scanners almost a year ago, *nothing* has gotten through.
