Topic: twiggi encoding issue

I updated SME 5.5 to 5.6 and twiggi to "e-smith-twiggi-1.10.16-1"
Now i have more sent mail folders, draft folders, draft mail,  but the most important breakdown is that when attachments are sent eg a word DOC, it arrives at the other end as a huge text file, eg

This has started happening only after the upgrade and was fine with 5.5 and previous version of twiggi from Darryl May

I used the signal event  twiggi-update today but it made no difference

This is for a customer and is quite urgent, any comments, ideas?
Anyone able to fix it?
