Mail server not working
« on: August 24, 2004, 09:09:24 AM »
SME v6.01
Just installed SpamAss night previous and all seemed to be working fine. ISP decided to change my block of IPs so I had to reconfigure server to reflect the new IP assignment, but now no one can seem to get or send email. All is configured properly on the SME server side but I was wondering about the SpamAssasin part of it since I had to reboot after changing the server IP.
If I telnet to port 110 or 25 I get the standard OK message, which leads me to believe both POP3 and SMTP are running.Any ideas as to what may have happened?

Solved the riddle

What I had to do was to disable SpamAssassin through server manager, then remove all the RBL lists, save the changes, then reboot the server.
Problem solved   :-D

A search on
451 postmaster@localhost
would have found this answer, the problem is one list apparently giving out "bad" information. See
