Ok, I have a SME 6 box.
Has CUPS installed on it.
The problem is having it on a domain.....I can get it to authenticate.
But when Printing it asks for a password.
So that blew that idea.
So I was looking through all the smb.conf stuff, and I found a spot where I could enable guest access to print, so I though, yeh fair enough, I'll do that,
And now I can print. Whohoo.
Only thing that sux is, when viewing the queue from CUPS, it just says the username is 'public'
Which is kinda a pain, cause when things go wrong, I can just clear that user, I can't do that this way......
So yeh, now it can be done, because it's been done on a differnen't computer, I looked at that smb.conf file and got some options, but still doens't help.
Has anyone got something like this going? Where I can authenticate off a differnet machine, just to stop ppl from printing to the printer unless they authenticate first.....
Thanks
