Topic: Change Ftp Port v6.0

Ok i know that Terry has done a great job of answering this questions in the past,
but i would like to confirm that the fix of editing the xinetd file still applies in the latest release, as when i look at the file it looks nothing like the information posted in the forums, I have added a custom template for proftpd 05port and change my port, it shows in the proftpd.conf as the new port, yet i cannot connect to that port, it is still the default p21. Any thoughts on this one?

Well I tried it and now nothing works
my entire ftp is down
i dont know if it matters but somehow i lost the original 30ftp file from the templates
i did create a 30ftp in custom templates according to the forums and my xinetd.conf shows the new port number as i created but i cannot get into my system now via ftp
ERROR:>      Can't connect to remote server. Socket error = #10061.
any help on this would be great please please please
