No more dialins -after- next loss of connection

Related to another posting, which asked for manual control over dialins (Enable / Disable) to the ISP, now we would like to have the e-smith box "use up" the time allocated to each dialup session (i.e. by our ISP; in our case, it's 4 hours)... then not to re-dial.

Perhaps also send an e-mail advising us that the tel.line is free (i.e. after the session ends, i.e. (normally) the ISP hangs up after 4 hours -or- (rarely) the connection gets broken for any other reason).

Thus, we don't want to set a fixed time, then disable redialing & break the connection.

Rather, we want the e-smith box to "sense" loss of connection -or- (more typically) end-of-[4-hr-]session...

and, simply, not make any more attempts to reconnect.

(Remember, it costs anothe 25 cents or thereabouts to dial local calls here in Australia; we want to use our $ wisely.)

How to do this?

TIA
