Webmin is fundamentally incompatible with e-smith, as described in our FAQ at http://www.e-smith.org/faq.php3#8q15

If you want to do custom configurations, it's not too hard.  Take a look at this document: http://www.e-smith.org/custom/

That is all very well, but e-smith does suffer from problems when it comes to more unusual configuration. The problem that I find myself most annoyed by is the lack of hardware control in the e-smith manager (something that other web interfaces have some luck with). Device control is a major hole in Linux when compared to NT (although Linux still beats the latter hands down!), and some basic configuration -- especially of NICs -- as is found in LinuxConf would be appreciated in the future.I must admit that hand editing of configuration files to give my external DHCP server the @Home domain name when requesting a logon has never appealed to me.

Nor should it be necessary. We have many @home customers - I've used it myself - and if you select the correct options in the console configuration wizard then it "just works". If it doesn't for you, then please send a detailed bug report to bugs@e-smith.com.
