I would like to see more options for managing networked printers and printers directly connected to the server. I'm thinking of a couple of things here:
1. A counter of pages printed per user (possibly taking into account the amount of
toner used)
2. Seperator pages between printjobs with user id
3. Possibility to us a per user budget
4. Server-manager panel integration so all setup and maintainance tasks can be
done from there.
5. personalized webpage and or e-mail so users know how much they printed and
what remains of their budget.
I think this may be well worth it in any educational setting and offices where you need to calculate the per user cost. (Flex work offices for instance)
I for one would really be interested. I know there are several scripts out there but have not heard of anyone getting these to work on SME and certainly not with the above mentioned features.
