Topic: dns error help

I noticed that my sme6 server is having problems reaching certain domains (database.clamav.net and mirrors.kernel.org).  I can reach these sites from work.  How can I tell if this is a problem with my server or with the isp dns server?

I get the following on the sme box.

[root@tux root]# host database.clamav.net
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
[root@tux root]#

What else should I check before calling my isp?

Replying to myself.  I think this is a connectivity problem with my isp (not an issue with SME6.x).  As such, disreguard my previous post.
