Topic: company web site?

Hi.

I am re-reading the documentation but am still unsure of how to set up a main web site on the SME. I am attempting to move an existing site from an old box to the SME. I have set sites in Apache many times before but this seems a little unclear in SME.


Any ideas?

Assuming that your SME is configured as host.example.com & the DNS for www.example.com points to its external IP, just login with FTP as admin & upload the site to:

/home/e-smith/files/primary/html

That's basically it.

Hi Nick.

Yep I know there is a lot to read yet. I appreciate your suggestion... I am still not seeing a definitive set of docs that clarifies the fine points. For example, I haven't read anywhere in the docs about your suggestion. That is the kind of documentation I am seeking.

I suppose nothing will beat playing around though ;/
