Anyone tried e-smith inside a VMWare session?

Thanks all for the info on H.323, very enlightening. I get that the H.323 session has to be in front of the e-smith box.

Has anyone tried the amazing e-smith in a VMWare virtual machine?

Running a Win98 session in another virtual machine would make that session in front of the firewall and H.323 should work while allowing the other users in my house enjoy the ipmasquerading services from e-smith, right?

Or, how about running win98 internet sharing on my box and then having the e-smith box receive its internet connection through the win98 box. I don't like that idea, knowing how often win98 crashes. But I REALLY like NetMeeting with my USB camera.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I've heard a report that it installs and works fine, at least with VMWare hosted in a linux system.

I couldn't guarantee it - I don't know VMWare well. Let us know when you test it :-)

I don't know anything about win98 internet sharing.
